Specimen cutter SC-199
The specimen cutter SC-199 has been developed as an accessory for Hot Tack testing in order to prepare strips of the materials to be tested. It is also useful for cutting specimen strips for tensile testing. It can cut all flexible materials, even very difficult ones.
With the the specimen cutter SC-199 it is possible to prepare the specimens in a reproducible way and with good precision, which adds to the total systems reliability together with the precise measurement of the DTC Hot Tack apparatus itself. Because of the possibility to adapt the tool for different specimen width it can be used as a general ccuttong tool in the lab
Special consideration to the behaviour of thin films has been taken in the design of the cutting device. The SC-199 makes it easy for the operator to prepare quickly sufficient amounts of specimen even with materials which are difficult to handle.
